Choose the right treatment
Colorize and restore solve different problems.
Start with the issue you notice most. You can download the first result, then upload it again for a second treatment if the photo needs both clarity and color.

Use Restore for soft or low-resolution scans
Restoration increases resolution and brings forward softened detail. It can improve an aging scan, but it cannot faithfully reconstruct every severe tear or missing area.

AI can only work with the detail present in the source. A careful scan usually matters more than repeatedly processing a compressed screenshot.
- Scan the physical print at 300 DPI or higher when possible.
- Crop album borders, scanner shadows, and unrelated background before uploading.
- Keep the original file. AI color and reconstructed detail are interpretations.
